Strings and Tunings

E standard: D'Addario EXL110 Nickel Wound .010-.046
D standard: D'Addario EXL115 Nickel Wound .011-.049 or EXL110+ 10.5-48
C# standard: D'Addario EXL116 Nickel Wound .011-.052
C standard: D'Addario EXL117 Nickel Wound .011-.056
I'm liking the Stringjoy custom set, though they are pricey and not readily available in an emergency. 11.5, 15, 19, 32, 44, 54.
Drop C: Ernie Ball Beefy Slinky 11-54 ?
11, 15, 22p, 30, 42, 54
I am not going to like that 22p though

thoughts:
Generally, I'm liking the "heavy top/ light bottom" feel. More tension for chugging, less tension for higher strings and bending.

SO that said... if I could find a plain third 10-49 set for D standard or E standard to see what gives. Maybe try a 9-46 for E standard? Thought I think the 9s might be too small.

For C standard: D'Addario EXL145 12-54 (12, 16, 20p, 32, 42, 54) - I don't like plain 20s, also worried about the 42 as the 5th string. It's the same gauge as EXL116s I'm using for C# standard, and will have less tension.

Ernie Ball Not Even Slinky (012 .016 .024p .032 .044 .056) seems better. But 24p! Also, not a fan of Ernie Ball's quality assurance lately.

Stringjoy makes custom sets. Thinking about 11.5, 15, 19, 32, 44, 54.
